Mazin bin Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mamari

Mazin holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman (2015). With over eight years of field experience in pest control, he is actively engaged in advancing the pest control sector across Muscat Governorate.

Currently, Mazin’s work focuses on managing the Aedes mosquito population and developing innovative strategies to mitigate its risks. In September 2024, he participated in the New IPM Symposium: Emerging Opportunities conference in the UK, where he presented a poster detailing Muscat Municipality’s successful efforts in controlling the Aedes mosquito in 2023. His presentation highlighted a remarkable 92% reduction in dengue fever cases, underscoring the effectiveness of the municipality’s approach.
