Dr. Lamya Al Balushi is a Consultant Family Physician, Epidemiologist, and the Director of Disease Surveillance and Control at the Directorate General of Health Services, Muscat. With over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, public health, and epidemiological investigations, Dr. Al Balushi has been a leading figure in communicable disease outbreaks.

She has directed major health campaigns, including COVID-19 response and vaccination efforts, and spearheaded initiatives in tuberculosis and dengue control. A graduate of the University of Miami with a Master of Public Health, she is passionate about improving public health outcomes and advancing disease surveillance.
